China Electric Vehicle Evaluation Procedure (CEVE), jointly sponsored by China Automotive Engineering Research Institute Co., Ltd., National Engineering Laboratory for Electric Vehicles of Beijing Institute of Technology, Battery Safety Lab of Tsinghua University, and National Big Data Alliance of New Energy Vehicles, have been released. According to the introduction, the evaluation system combines single-vehicle evaluation and big data evaluation, and carries out test evaluation in three dimensions: energy consumption, safety, and experience.
In terms of energy consumption, China Electric Vehicle Evaluation Procedure (CEVE) sets three scenarios: high-speed cruise (120km/h), cyclic working conditions at different temperatures (-7 ℃ low temperature, 23 ℃ normal temperature and 35 ℃ high temperature) and charging efficiency (30 minutes fast charging at 120kW power) to evaluate the energy consumption and mileage stability of the new energy vehicle in a certain period based on big data. In terms of safety, China Electric Vehicle Evaluation Procedure (CEVE) sets misuse conditions such as wading, electric shock protection, cooling system failure and excessive discharge, and monitors and evaluates the over-temperature alarming situation of vehicles in a certain period through the big data platform.
In terms of experience, China Electric Vehicle Evaluation Procedure (CEVE) sets four dynamic scenarios: maximum speed of 1km, 0-100 km/h, 0-50 km/h and 80-120 km/h acceleration, as well as idle speed, mean speed of 80km/h and 120km/h; evaluates the vehicle experience performance combining with the data of vehicle mileage and battery energy degradation, battery failure rate, mileage trust and charging time.
The total scores of the four models are "relatively low" which are lowered by their "energy consumption score"
According to the above evaluation dimensions and standards, China Electric Vehicle Evaluation Procedure (CEVE) Management Center has purchased four blade electric vehicles for evaluation, but the test results are not satisfactory. Only one vehicle has been evaluated as Class A (good), two vehicles as Class M (moderate) and one vehicle as Class P (poor). When the results were released, China Electric Vehicle Evaluation Procedure (CEVE) Management Center did not release details of the models tested, but said the models were all blade electric vehicles of Chinese brands with a nominal driving range of more than 400km and possession of more than 3,000 vehicles.
After testing the first models, China Electric Vehicle Evaluation Procedure (CEVE) Management Center said that at present, new energy vehicles in the Chinese market are not afraid of high temperatures, but the range will be greatly reduced under low-temperature and high-speed cruising conditions. Vehicle companies and relevant organizations shall strengthen the labeling and propaganda of the test conditions of the range and energy consumption level of vehicles, so as to give consumers correct guidance. It is understood that in future testing, China Electric Vehicle Evaluation Procedure (CEVE) Management Center will follow the four principles of "more than half a year on the market", "more than 1,000 vehicles sold", "more than three months on the big data platform" and "M1 blade electric vehicles" to select test vehicles, and release test results twice a year.
